Alison Carney, MA

Psychometrist / Graduate Student

Alison is a PhD Candidate in the Clinical Psychology program at Toronto Metropolitan University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Queen’s University and her master’s degree in clinical psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University. Alison has received extensive clinical training in her placements at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and St. Michael’s Hospital. She is passionate about working with individuals living with posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and insomnia, as well as individuals struggling with chronic pain. Outside of work, Alison enjoys going on camping and backpacking trips, exploring different neighbourhoods in Toronto, and really anything that involves being outside.

Tamar Gelb, B.Sc. Hon. Psychology

Psychometrist / QA Specialist

Tamar received a Bachelor of Science with an Honours Specialization in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario in 2021. She is currently pursuing her Masters and Doctors of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at Adler University in Chicago, while working as a Psychometrist and Quality Assurance Specialist. After her graduation, Tamar hopes to specialize in working with adults living with trauma, chronic pain, and neurological disorders, as well as their loved ones. In her spare time, Tamar enjoys travelling, watching movies, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog.

Callista Forchuk, BA

Psychometrist / Graduate Student

Callista received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2010 and her Master of Science in Personality and Measurement in 2015, both from the University of Western Ontario. She is in the Clinical Psychology graduate program at York University while working as a Psychometrist. After graduating, Callista hopes to work with adults and couples in outpatient settings through a mix of modalities including mindfulness-based, cognitive-behavioural, and experiential approaches. In her spare time Callista enjoys dancing and acrobatics, walking in nature, and doing arts and crafts with friends.

Audrey Li-Chay-Chung, BA Hons.

Psychometrist / Graduate Student

Audrey received a bilingual Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Specialized Honours from York University’s Glendon College in 2022. She is currently pursuing graduate studies in Clinical Neuropsychology at York University while working as a psychometrist. After obtaining her PhD, she hopes to work in the neuropsychological assessment and Rehabilitation of individuals with brain injuries and cognitive disorders. In her spare time, Audrey enjoys running, dragon boat training, exploring museums, and attending concerts.

Jessica Newman, BA

Psychometrist / Graduate Student

Jessica received a Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Education in 2021 from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is currently in the Clinical Psychology graduate program at York University while working as a psychometrist. After her graduation, she hopes to work with adults in outpatient settings through a mix of therapeutic modalities. In her spare time, she enjoys waterskiing, painting, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her family and friends.

Danielle Schkolne

Psychometrist

Danielle obtained her Bachelors of Science in Psychology at McGill University in 2022. She is currently working towards obtaining her Masters in Clinical Psychology and doing research in the Therapeutic Interventions for Psychosis Lab at the University of Toronto. After graduating, she hopes to work with adolescents and adults in outpatient settings though various approaches and interventions. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys travelling, listening to podcasts, reading, dancing, staying active and spending time with friends and family.

Kiana Saramout, B.Sc. (Hons)

Psychometrist

Kiana earned her Bachelor of Science in Honours Psychology and Neuroscience at Wilfrid Laurier University. She just recently graduated this past year after completing her undergraduate thesis on tactile sensation in the realm of neuroscience. In her spare time, she volunteers as an intake coordinator at a psychology clinic and loves to read, travel, and spend quality time with her family and friends.

Danah Makow, BA

Psychometrist

Danah received her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Ivey Business School at Western University in 2017. She is currently completing her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at York University with the intention to pursue graduate studies. Danah is particularly interested in adolescent mental health and how interpersonal connections may impact treatment outcomes. She is currently a research assistant at the Teen Relationships Lab at York University. In her free time, Danah enjoys practicing yoga, trying new restaurants, and reading.

Dr. Karen Gordon, Psy. D., C. Psych.

Psychologist

Dr. Karen Gordon is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She completed her Doctorate of Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University, and an APA-approved internship at Kings County Hospital. She has been a full-time staff psychologist at InnerQore for 5 years; previously she worked in hospital inpatient and outpatient wards, clinics and forensic settings. Her training and expertise includes the assessment of depressive, trauma-related, and anxiety disorders, psychosis, learning disabilities, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorders, and intellectual disability, as well as therapy for depressive and anxiety disorders, chronic pain and somatic symptom disorders, and posttraumatic stress disorders. Her clinical interests include Cognitive-Behavioural and supportive individual therapy for depressive and anxiety disorders, which she approaches with compassion and sympathy. She is flexible in her approach to treatment, balancing a focus on alleviating distressing symptoms, and understanding and listening to the client’s experiences in the world. She enjoys relaxing with a good book and a home-cooked meal.

Dr. Vandana Tara, Ph.D., C. Psych.

Psychologist

Dr. Tara is currently a registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She is a clinical psychologist and provides psychological assessment and treatment with a range of clinical populations with emphasis on Post traumatic Stress Disorder related to motor vehicle accidents. Dr. Tara has completed her Ph.D. at Delhi University, New Delhi, India. She earned two Gold Medals, one in her M.A. program in Clinical Psychology from Delhi University and the other in her M. Phil program in Clinical Psychology from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), in Bangalore, India. She has advanced training in the use of the Rorschach Inkblot Test from Rorschach Workshops, North Carolina and in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto. She has experience in cognitive behaviour therapy with a wide range of disorders including anxiety, depression, somatoform disorders, anger issues, relationship issues, marital conflict, personality disorders, eating disorders and adolescent issues. She has expertise in the scoring and administration of various psychological tests of personality and intelligence. She has taught Psychology courses to graduate and post graduate students. She has conducted workshops on various psychological topics like anger management, learning disabilities, work life balance, Rorschach Inkblot Test, and psychometric assessment. Her interests include dancing, watching movies and learning different languages.

Dr. Jessica Rosenthal, Psy.D., C. Psych.

Child Psychologist

Dr. Jessica Rosenthal is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She earned her Psy. D. in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2011 and primarily works with children, adolescents, and families. Throughout her career Dr. Rosenthal has conducted assessments, provided supervision, consultation and treatment to a variety of clients from diverse backgrounds, with varying concerns, in various school and private practice settings. She uses as variety of therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic therapy, CBT, behavioural therapy, play therapy and client-centred therapy. Across all the therapeutic approaches, Dr. Rosenthal aims to work in collaboration with her clients to achieve goals that will ultimately provide each client with a greater quality of life. Outside of work, Dr. Rosenthal enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks with her dog, and travelling.

Sabrina Simmons, M.A., M. Sc., C. Psych. Assoc. (Supervised Practice)

Sabrina received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2011) and a Master of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience (2013) from Wilfrid Laurier University. She then obtained her Masters in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from The Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE) in 2016. She has been working with individuals who have been involved in motor-vehicle accidents for the past 7 years and is hoping to expand her practice to work with adults living with depression, anxiety, and trauma. She enjoys using a mix of modalities, including cognitive-behavioural and psychodynamic approaches. In her free time, Sabrina enjoys learning languages, origami, movie nights with friends, and a good cup of chai.

Jennifer Plant, M.A. (Ph.D. Candidate)

Therapist / Quality Assurance Manager

Jennifer (Jenn) received her master’s degree and is currently completing her Ph.D. in the Clinical Psychology program at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has received extensive clinical training in various settings, including St. Michael’s Hospital, The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (Anxiety Treatment & Research Clinic), and private practice. Jennifer works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her approach is integrative and tailored to the unique needs, goals and strengths of each client. Jennifer strives to create a warm, accepting, and collaborative environment in both assessment and therapy settings. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship provides the foundation for which clients can feel safe to explore and experiment with change. In her spare time, Jenn enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, especially with friends and family, and baking healthy treats!

Alma Disha, M. ADS, RP

Registered Psychotherapist

Alma is a registered therapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario CRPO since 2015 and has provided counselling and psychotherapy treatment for over 16 years. Alma's academic record includes a Doctor of Medicine degree (2001) and a Master of Applied Disabilities Studies degree (2014). She pursued postgraduate Studies in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (2001) and worked several years as a community psychiatrist before electing to continue work in psychotherapy. She has extensive clinical training in cognitive behavioural therapy, supportive therapy, psychodynamics, applied behaviour analysis, emotion-focused therapy, individual, group therapy and family therapy. Alma has training and experience working with adults and children with trauma, in addition to complicated grief and post-traumatic stress having been at the forefront of her work, especially supporting refugees impacted by war and persons impacted by loss and/or involvement in motor vehicle accidents. She has worked with diverse populations, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, abused women, children and elderly persons, persons with severe mental health issues and in crisis, and persons with dual diagnosis etc. Alma incorporates skills and treatment modalities into her therapeutic work according to the unique needs of each person. Above all, she applies a holistic approach, incorporating cultural sensitivity, and believes that everyone is able to heal and unlock their potential to change and better themselves. In her spare time, Alma loves walking by the water, swimming, travelling, reading and exploring new cultures.

Mel Gampel, M. Ed., RP, CCC

Registered Psychotherapist

Melanie is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master's in Counselling Psychology. Her therapeutic approach is based on narrative ideas and the premise that people can grow when they feel safe and supported. As such, she values the opportunity to create genuine and collaborative relationships with people to help them reach their goals. Melanie’s style is client-centred, strength-based, and trauma-informed. In addition to her role as a psychotherapist, Melanie teaches social service skills at a community college. She is grateful for the opportunity to do and teach what she loves! Melanie gets energy from connecting with others and her happy place is anywhere by the water.

Jessica Squilloni, MA, RP

Registered Psychotherapist

Jessica is a Registered Psychotherapist through the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) with a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology. She provides evidence-based treatment and skills training in dialectical behaviour therapy. She has worked in a wide variety of settings including schools, community agencies, and clinical private practice. She specializes in issues related to emotion regulation, trauma, mood, anxiety and eating disorders. She works mainly with adults and adolescents and has international training with DBT experts. She also has formal training and experience in the use of Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys travelling, music, running and spending time with her family and fur babies.

Jessica Zylberlicht, M.A., M.Ed., RP

Registered Psychotherapist

Jessica is a Psychotherapist registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Her educational background includes a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a Masters of Education in Developmental Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. The primary models that she uses to provide psychotherapy to clients include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has experience in treating clients who present with diagnoses of Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma and Stress Related Disorders, ADHD, ASD, and learning disabilities. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys going on camping trips, spending time with family, traveling, and going to concerts.

Cindi Becker, RP(Q)

Registered Psychotherapist

Cindi is a member of the Canadian Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario, the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and the Quebec Counselling Association. Cindi has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Concordia University and is currently completely his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University. Cindi is compassionate and collaborative. She creates a non-judgmental environment in which her clients feel comfortable and supported so that they can meet their goals. Cindi is truly committed to improving the well-being of her clients. In her free time Cindi enjoys any type of movement including walking, running, cycling, playing tennis, and Pilates.

Ahmad Sakijjha, MPsy, RP

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Ahmad received a Bachelors degree from the American University of Kuwait and minored in Psychology. He later undertook university courses in Psychology at York University. He attended Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto and graduated with a Masters of Psychology (MPsy) in 2021. He is a Registered Psychotherapist and works with adults living with trauma and chronic pain, through a mix of modalities including psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural approaches. In his spare time Ahmad enjoys going on road trips, camping, RVing, and playing volleyball.

Melissa Burman, MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker

Melissa Burman, MSW, RSW received a Master of Social Work Degree from University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from McGill University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Applied Social Science from Concordia University. She is in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). Melissa provides counselling to individuals and couples experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and posttraumatic stress, chronic illness, chronic pain, terminal illness, grief and loss, as well as difficulty coping with life stressors and transitions. Her strengths are assisting clients to achieve their optimal level of psychosocial functioning, as well as developing internal coping skills, reducing negative symptoms, and achieving a better quality of life. Melissa provides holistic client-centered care in a respectful, non-judgemental, and supportive environment by utilizing a collaboration of evidence-based treatment models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy. Marnie Teitlebaum, MSW, RSW

Marnie received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto in 2002. She has since been working as a clinical social worker for 20 years providing therapy and mental health support to children, adolescents and their families. Marnie has extensive experience working within the mental health system and has worked in a hospital mental health program, community based mental health agency as well as the school board system. Marnie’s therapeutic approach is tailored to the client’s unique individual needs. Marnie works from strengths based and systems approaches and uses therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focused therapy and narrative therapy. Marnie is also trained in suicide intervention. Marnie’s practice is grounded on building relationships with her clients in order to support and empower them in creating the change that they desire. Marnie offers a non-judgmental and safe environment where each client can share their personal journey. In her personal time, Marnie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling and staying active.

Kim Sundal, MSW, RSW

Kim has a Master's Degree of Social Work from the University of Toronto and has been practicing social work for 20+ years. Her speciality is working with children, youth and teenagers. She has extensive experience working in mental health, both community and hospital based settings. She has advanced skills in working with anxiety, depression and relationship issues and strives to listen, learn and guide her clients towards change. She brings a non-judgmental, open, honest and curious style to all of her sessions. She is willing to adapt her work to the client in front of her, based on their needs and interests. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and enjoying time outdoors.

Elinor Gal, MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker

Elinor is a registered social worker with more than 18 years’ of international experience, working with youth, adults, and older adults, and specializing in mental health issues, interpersonal relationships, family dynamics, Stress-management, trauma, and caregiver counseling. She has obtained a Bachelor of Art's, Bachelor of Social Work and Master's of Social Work and is practicing continuing education, obtaining certifications meaningful to her practice. Elinor has a passion for working with people. She believes that everyone has a unique story and history that carries them forward. She provides a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate space for growth to occur and practices from a client-centered, Strength- based perspective while using an eclectic approach of therapeutic modalities to best fit her clients’ style and needs. She offers services in English and Hebrew. In her free time, Elinor enjoys spending time with her young daughter, husband, extended family and friends. She loves traveling to warm places, eating fine foods, and listening to music that recharges her.

Hannah received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph in 2020. She is currently in the process of completing her Master’s degree in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School. She has been working as both a psychometrist and a therapist under the supervision of Dr. Jeremy Frank. She has experience working with adolescents and adults seeking support through life transitions, career changes, school/work/life balance, relationships, traumatic experiences, depression and anxiety. Her aim is to maintain a safe, warm, and inclusive environment wherein she and her clients collaborate and utilize client strengths to create positive change. In Hannah’s spare time she enjoys reading mysteries, hiking, and painting.

Kylie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western University in 2018. She is currently working towards obtaining her Masters in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School. Over the last three years, Kylie has been working under the supervision of Dr. Jeremy Frank as a psychometrist and has gained therapeutic experience working with young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationships and traumatic experiences. She employs a collaborative approach to enhance her client's overall well-being and foster self-improvement, utilizing a diverse range of modalities individually tailored to each client's specific goals and needs. She aims to create a welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe environment where clients can feel acknowledged and heard in order to develop enhanced coping skills. In her free time, Kylie enjoys travelling, baking and spending time with her dog.

Dawn Amber, MPH, RD

Registered Dietician

Dawn is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and a member in good standing with the Dietitians of Canada. She graduated from Brescia University College with a Bachelor of Science, Honors Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics and later completed a Master of Public Health in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Toronto. She is concurrently working at Baycrest Hospital, Long Term Care and the Primary Care Team. Dawn's clinical focus includes the nutritional management of chronic and multiple medical conditions, nutrient deficiencies and weight management. Outside of work, Dawn enjoys baking and spending time with friends and family.

Danielle has worked in collections and accounting in the healthcare sector for more than 20 years. In her spare time she enjoys reading, travelling and spending time with her family.

Ariel Rosenzweig, BA

Intake Coordinator

Ariel graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Studies in April 2023 and hopes to one day pursue a Masters Degree in Social Work. Her undergraduate placement experiences have included the Cardiac Unit Child Life Department at the Hospital for Sick Children where she provided therapeutic play-based intervention strategies for children of all ages. She also developed a program manual outlining these activities to inspire future volunteer and placement students to deliver positive outcomes for children and their families. In her spare time, she loves going for walks, playing with her dog, seeing friends, and going to the gym.

Julie Dicker, BA, MA Candidate

Julie is currently working towards completing her Master's in Psychological Science at Toronto Metropolitan University while working as a Quality Assurance Specialist. After graduation, Julie hopes to work in a hospital conducting psychological research. Her current research aims to find interventions that will help preserve memory function in older adults. In her spare time, she loves to create future travel plans for all the beautiful places around the world she wants to visit! She also loves animals and enjoying long nature walks.

Leah graduated from the Psychology program at Toronto Metropolitan University in June 2022 and is currently a MSW student at the University of Toronto. In addition to graduate school and work, Leah is a Research Assistant at a TMU psychology lab. In her spare time, Leah enjoys watching hockey, travelling, hiking and spending time with her friends and family.

Jacqueline Di Biase, BA (Hons.)

Administrative Assistant

Jacqueline was awarded an Honorary Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2023. In her current role she is dedicated to improving and supporting clinic operations through providing administrative support. Jacqueline's future academic goals entail pursuing a Master's degree in clinical and developmental psychology. Her research interests are centred around parent-child dynamics and anxiety disorders among youth and adults. In her spare time she enjoys spending time at the cottage, reading and collecting antiques.
